The Importance of Writing

To be able to write is a privilege that always helps one learn. The privilege associated with writing is to be literate. To be literate means that one has the ability to comprehend any reading material as well as write coherently. Writing is an extremely important tool for people to be used in a multitude of ways. To begin, writing helps people communicate any thoughts, feelings, questions, etc. that aid our need to coexist with each other. Writing also allows for people to express themselves in so many different formats and can create safe, artistic formats for creativity.

Writing is a tool that promotes an endless stream of knowledge, whether a person is doing the writing or reading somebody else’s writing. The simple act of writing can be therapeutic for many, as it can be utilized as an outlet. Writing is extremely helpful, and it can be argued that there is no bad writing in existence. Any piece of writing ca be used to learn from, but anything that promotes hate or is unkind is definitely distasteful. Writing experience and any ideas surrounding writing often stem from education and academia. The earliest common experience of writing can be considered learning how to write your name on your first day of school from a teacher. Teachers often shape early views of writing, as they teach the proper techniques of writing that help people develop their own styles of writing. In this same token, having a passion can definitely shape any ideas around writing as an influence to promote writing.
